Matt Phillips CPA

Matt Phillips

CPA – SHAREHOLDER

Matt is the founder of Phillips CPAs and Advisors. He has 20 years of experience in complex accounting issues and implementation, audit and assurance services, personal, corporate and estate income tax preparation and planning consultation. He is a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Public Accountant with a passion for helping individuals and businesses achieve their financial goals. Matt brings a wealth of expertise and knowledge to the table, ensuring that clients receive the highest level of professional service and guidance.

Matt received his B.S. in Accounting from Clemson University and is an active member of the American Institute of CPAs and the South Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant.

Matt serves his community through volunteering and board membership at various nonprofit organizations. When not working or volunteering you can find Matt hiking, golfing, enjoying motorsports, exploring, and discovering everything that our area provides.

Derrek Terry CPA

Derrek Terry

CPA – SHAREHOLDER

Derrek joined Phillips CPAs and Advisors in November 2022. A Certified Public Accountant, Derrek specializes in providing accounting and auditing services for nonprofit and governmental organizations. As a shareholder with the firm, Derrek is responsible for a range of services, including audit, review, compilation, and bookkeeping services; as well as providing clients with consulting support.

Derrek received his B.S. in Accounting from Clemson University in 2012 and is an active member of the American Institute of CPAs. Outside of the office, he enjoys spending time with his wife and kids.
